Trixie's Story

We've always been a dachshund household. There have been doxies in our family since I was born. The ones we have had here in Greenville lived to nice old ages and died. Fast forward 5 years. Carol and I missed our little wiener dogs and a wonderful woman named Cecilia Groce who happens to be a vet tech at our veterinarian's office is a breeder. I was in the office getting Our Lab, Sandy's annual shots and physical and we started talking about dachshunds and how much we missed ours. Cecilia just HAD to tell me that she had a litter on the 22nd of December. She made us an offer we couldn't refuse. Pick of her litter for just $100 the cost of vet expenses.
I consulted Carol and a week later, the whole family went and picked our pup. With Trixie it was love at first site. Cecilia told us that she would be ready to go home on the 2nd of February. That two week wait was agony, but Cecilia was nice enough to send us pictures.
Our little baby is home, and the adventure of raising a puppy begins. I'll be posting pictures, and stories, and rants (I'm sure) on this blog. Hope y'all enjoy the ride as much as I hope to.
