Breakthrough! Posted: 23 Feb 2010 04:30 AM PST Last night I got a FULL night’s sleep. Trixie didn’t need to go outside at 4 Am like she has been. I slept from 11:30 to 6:15. Hopefully not a fluke.

BLOG HAS MOVED

I decided to move to my own domain and so the blogger site is no longer being updated. Come find Trixie and all her adventures at Our new home

Zzzzzzz

Is there anything cuter than a sleeping puppy? I don't think so.

Day 3

Today is day 3 and the order of the day, since around 8:30 this morning has been SLEEP. Last night was better too. I only had to take Trixie outside at 1:30 AM. She slept the rest of the night.

Progress

Trixie has managed to poop outside 3 times today.  I'll take the little victories.

Busy Day

Trixie has spent much of today sleeping. She's eating well and has discovered that Sandy makes a great pillow.

I on the other hand am exhausted. Last night took a lot out of me. I think I'm going to try a friend's suggestion of a ticking clock in her crate.

There had better be LOTS of coffee.

Last night was rough.  Trixie was very upset not to be sleeping with her litter mates and started crying at about 1:30 AM.  Carol got up and tried to comfort her and get her back to sleep.  It didn't work, and since I have the luxury of napping when I need to, I got up and played with/fed Trixie. She went back to sleep by 2:30 and I was able to sleep until 5:30 when it started again.

I need to investigate some sleep strategies so we can all stay happy and sane. It's exactly like having a newborn baby in the house again.

We're home!
